The commercial / institutional sector transports some goods by air, rail and boat.  Airplanes run on aviation fuel, which is made from oil. Railway engines and many boats use diesel fuel, which is also made from oil.  Larger ships generally use another oil product called bunker fuel.

In 2010, air, rail and marine transport for this sector
consumed 57,416,360 GJ and
emitted 5,615,835 GHG tonnes.
