The forest products sector in British Columbia, Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut includes logging, commodities such as softwood lumber and plywood, pulp and paper operations and the manufacture of other wood products.
 
In 2010, the region's forest products sector
consumed 248,544,000 GJ and
emitted 1,900,663 GHG tonnes.
 
Natural gas accounts for 4.76% of the fuels consumed by this sector. Electricity makes up another 19.48%, while oil and other fuels (primarily wood waste) represent 1.44% and 74.31% of the total respectively.
