In 2006, the industrial sector
consumed 182,909,000 GJ of natural gas and
emitted 9,658,644 GHG tonnes.
 
Natural gas is widely used throughout the industrial sectors of British Columbia, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut, representing 30.41% of their total consumption.  Oil and gas production, manufacturing and forest products are the biggest users of natural gas.
