In 2006, the industrial sector
consumed 46,531,760 GJ of oil and
emitted 3,406,798 GHG tonnes.
Oil is the source of 7.74% of the energy consumed by industries in British Columbia, Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut. Mining, forestry and agriculture are the largest users of oil, much of which is used in the form of gasoline or diesel to fuel trucks and heavy equipment.
