Electricity provides 25.92% of the energy consumed by individuals in New Brunswick.  It powers light fixtures, furnaces, hot water heaters and many appliances, including air conditioners. 
 
In 2010, the residential sector
consumed 18,769,020 GJ of electricity and
emitted 1,435,860 GHG tonnes.
