Natural gas is the source of 3.59% of the energy consumed by commercial businesses and the public service in Newfoundland and LabradorSome of your workplaces, shopping centres or public buildings such as town halls, schools and libraries use natural gas for space heating and hot water. Natural gas is also used for a few auxiliary motors and equipment.
In 2010, the commercial / institutional sector
consumed 1,464,283 GJ of natural gas and
emitted 89,326 GHG tonnes.
