In 2010, the Newfoundland and Labrador agricultual sector (including fisheries)
consumed 492,405 GJ and
emitted 109,680 GHG tonnes.
Most of the energy (77.40%) consumed by this sector is required to operate trucks and equipment. Diesel and gasoline, which are manufactured from crude oil, are therefore the predominate fuel sources.  Of the balance of energy consumed, electricity supplies 21.93% and natural gas liquids make up 0.67%.
