In 2010, industry
consumed 25,316,450 GJ of other fuels and
emitted 694,325 GHG tonnes.
About 39.08% of total industrial energy use comes from fuel sources such as industrial byproducts and natural gas liquids (NGLs)
In Newfoundland and Labrador, the biggest source of other fuels is industrial byproducts. Refineries produce still gas and petroleum coke from crude oil as derivatives of their industrial processes.
