In 2010, the residential sector
consumed 2,941,637 GJ of other fuel sources and
emitted 59,830 GHG tonnes.
 
Wood (6.43%) is the fuel that provides most of the energy for residential consumption other than oil, electricity and natural gas in Newfoundland and Labrador.  It is primarily used to heat homes and hot water tanks.
