consumed 34,292,810 GJ of other fuel sources and
emitted 421,096 GHG tonnes.
Wood (1.89%) is the fuel that provides most of the energy for residential consumption other than oil, natural gas and electricity in Ontario. It is primarily used to heat homes and hot water tanks. In 2010, ethanol represented 1.46% of total energy consumed; it was used to fuel personal automobiles.
