Electricity powers light fixtures.

In 2010, lighting in Prince Edward Island's commercial / institutional sector
consumed 393,126 GJ and
emitted 41,266 GHG tonnes.

Libraries, hospitals, stores and other public places all have abundant lighting.  On the one hand, this facilitates safe activity.  But, on the other hand, you as a user are not assigned any personal share of the GHG emissions associated with the services and goods you receive even though the lights are turned on for your benefit.
