consumed 147,461 GJ of other fuels and
emitted 3,343 GHG tonnes.
 
About 2.82% of total industrial energy use comes from fuel sources such as biomass and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
 
In Prince Edward Island, the biggest source of other fuels is biomass.  The district energy system in Charlottetown uses biomass, for example, to produce energy in the form of steam, hot water and electricity.
