Quebec has two oil refineries, one in Montreal and the other at Lévis, near Quebec City.
In 2010, the Quebec refining sector
consumed 46,493,590 GJ and
emitted 4,430,555 GHG tonnes.
Quebec's refineries use industrial byproducts for about two-thirds of their fuel needs.
Natural gas (29.03%), oil (7.31%) and electricity (12.43%) make up the balance.
