In 2010, industry
consumed 18,795,360 GJ of other fuels and
emitted 828,591 GHG tonnes.
About 4.38% of total industrial energy use comes from fuel sources such as industrial byproducts and natural gas liquids (NGLs).
In Saskatchewan, the biggest source of other fuels is industrial byproducts.  Refineries produce petroleum coke from crude oil as derivatives of their industrial processes.
